First Snow Fall

Its that time of year again, and last night we received our first snowfall. So, this morning when we woke up we found snow all over! Although, most of it has melted off now. The girls had fun playing in it this morning. Rayna's first task in the snow was, of course, eating it! Taylin's favorite part I think is the hot chocolate afterwards!

What we woke up to this morning.
Taylin clearing the snow off, "Its a dirty job, but somebodies got to do it."

"Don't eat the yellow snow, Rayna!"

My 2nd 29th Birthday

It's funny the older I get, the less I look forward to my birthday. Why is that? I think its something to do with the numbers associated with it. So, yesterday was my 2nd 29th birthday! It actually was a really nice, simple day. Daniel woke me up with breakfast in bed, and then about 5 minutes before we left for church, he told that some people were coming over afterwards for lunch. He tried to keep it a secret, but lets face it, my husband can't lie! He can't even distort the truth just a little bit. Covering things up is not his cup of tea. Which really that is a good thing. Anyways, so he felt obligated to tell the truth. It was nice though, it wasn't a party, just a few friends and my parents coming over for lunch. Daniel BBQ and took care of the whole thing with my mom's help and I didn't help. After everybody left, we played the new Disney Scene IT game that I received from my daughters, which Taylin proudly won. Then the girls were in bed early, and Daniel and I curled up on the couch with a movie. It was a day full things I enjoy doing. So, thank you Daniel for making my day special.

Birthday cake is always a real winner with the kids! The kids were enjoying their own little party!

More From the Bathroom

I'm sure you guys probably don't care about our bathroom stories, but this is what we seems to be getting a laugh out of us these days! This story is a little crude, so forgive me if you are grossed out, but this is your warning. The other night, Taylin crawled up into Daniel's lap. After a few moments, Daniel asks her if she farted, and she says no. He says, "You stink, did you have an accident?" Taylin says, "no." "Let me smell your hands," Daniel says. After smelling them and realizing they are not the culprits, he checks her pants. "Taylin, you didn't wipe! It's all in you undies!" Taylin says, "But, Rayna wiped for me." What!! "You let your sister wipe you." Taylin replies, "Yeah, she wanted too." Ugh! So, Daniel gets up and deals with the mess and we explain to Taylin its not okay for Rayna to wipe her bum and why. The next day, I here another conversation in the bathroom. Taylin is screaming at Rayna at the top of her lungs saying, "Rayna, stop! Stop! You can't wipe me! Rayna! Your going to make my bum sore!" I guess Taylin got the picture of why its not okay. Although the picture of my little potty training two year old wiping my 4 year old's bum is just priceless!

Tent Makers

For the last couple of days, making tents has been the thing for the girls. So, the tent below was their favorite and they spent much time in it including nap time. They desired to go to sleep in it too, but Taylin got sick, so Daddy made them sleep in their beds. But they sure loved it!

The Big Harvest Carnival

For Halloween the girls got to dress up for the harvest carnival that we seem to be making our annual tradition. One of the church's in town make it a nice outreach to the community, and it really is a lot of fun. Every year it seems to be getting a little bit bigger and better. The girls dressed up in their princess outfits that grandma made them and they definitely felt like they were the most beautiful girls in the world. Although, I must correct myself, Taylin was not a princess, she was a queen fairy, as she says. She likes the idea of being a queen over a princess and then the fairy thing I guess just hung on from the night before. Grandma and Grandpa were here and it was nice to have the extra hands and keeping track of the girls, ie Rayna!

Taylin's School Carnival

Taylin's school had a little harvest carnival that was lots of fun the night before Halloween. Since Taylin got her queen outfit thoroughly dirty while at school, she had to dress up as something else. Being a ballerina was my idea, but Taylin desired to be a fairy! Rayna was my ballerina. It was so funny to watch all the other little girls at the carnival, I think almost every other one was a Disney princess of some sort! It was adorable! It's amazing how much fun it is for kids to just get dressed up and the make believe that it produces! We also were amazed at the differences of our girls. Even though this was Taylin's school, Rayna led the way. Rayna was so eager to try all the different games (and even difficult to get her to wait her turn) and Taylin was shy and took her time to play the games, and certain ones she just didn't want to do! Our little one is encouraging our older one to learn to take a little risk. All and all they are great for each other by balancing each other out.

Daniel's Adventures!

While, the girls and I were down in Phoenix a couple weeks ago, Daniel was out on his latest adventure! It's deer season! From a wife's perspective his hunt was great! It lasted all weekend, so he got to enjoy the whole weekend with the boys, but it was also over with in one weekend instead of lasting the whole week and longer! On Sunday he shot his deer. He brought home the bacon, but the rack wasn't as impressive as he would have desired! So, here's the picture of his trophy!

Sorry, I'm So Late!

I've been a little out of it lately, but I'm here to catchup! (For the last two weeks!) So, here goes!
